From Screamscape:
"Park News - (4/9/10) Others have confirmed that only the front façade of the Drive-In Theater is still standing, with a temporary stage set up for various special event performers. It’s been pointed out that this area isn’t too far from the site of the removed Freefall attraction, and that the two sites could be used for a bigger future attraction, including possibly removing Shake, Rattle and Roll as well to make more room. I’m just thinking out loud, but this wouldn’t be a bad location for a Tony Hawk Big Spin coaster. In other news, the rumored removal of Splash Water Falls is still alive and well, though no one seems to know when the axe may fall, only that it will fall in the next year or two.
(4/8/10) According to one reader, while riding the Mindbender they looked over and noticed that the Drive-In Theater’s walls and interior looked to have been torn down, leaving only the front façade standing. Can anyone else confirm this and if so, any ideas what the plan is?"
What's SFOG planning for 2011? I don't know.
I like Screamscape's idea (even though I didn't ride Tony Hawk Big Spin). It can be an opponent for BGT's 2011 coaster project! =)
And these shoot-the-chute ride removals are getting on my nerve! *glares*
