Sorry, haven't posted this yet, but they've started Season 9 on American Idol. For an overview, here are some disappointments in the judges:
1. Paula Abdul is no more, as she left the show last August. Ellen DeGeneres replaced her.
2. Simon Cowell is leaving after the season ends, so he can prepare his American version of The X-Factor.
They better find someone worthy for a replacement for Simon Cowell, or sadly American Idol will go the same way as Fear Factor (the series).
As for the season, these contestants have been eliminated:
1. Lacey Brown
2. Paige Miles
3. Didi Benami
Michael Lynche ("Big Mike") was "eliminated" last week, but the judges saved him (I didn't know they could still do that). Last season, they used their save on Matt Giraud in the Top 7. This time, they did it in the Top 9.
With "Big Mike" saved, I bet that TWO people will be eliminated next week (like last season).
I just hope neither "Big Mike," Slobhan Magnus (she's hot, just like Alison Iraheta), nor Tim Urban will be eliminated next week.
