Universal Future 3 (A New Coaster at Universal Studios Florida)

*On January 11, 2008, Universal filed a Notice of Commencement with Orange County, Florida indicating that they were to construct a roller coaster code-named Project Rumble. The attraction was announced on March 19, 2008. Universal officials revealed that the lift hill will be 167 feet tall making it the tallest in Orlando. Its speed will be 65 miles per hour. The station will be between Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast at Universal Studios Florida and Blue Man Group at Universal CityWalk Orlando. Construction began on May 15, 2008 with the clearing of some break room trailers and ground clearing. Another part of its construction is the Boneyard closure on May 30, 2008 to make way for the entrance to the coaster. Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit will go over the CityWalk and New York sections at Universal Orlando Resort. Here's concept art of it:

Looks like some twisting spirals on that tower could be serious fun. 65 mph is only 100 km per hour and so "not all that fast" compared to some of the newer roller coasters, but it looks like it will be at least as good as the Hulk and that's saying a lot.

Actually, those aren't "twisting spirals on the tower." Those are actually the rings that are installed on the lift. The rings surround the track. Just pointing that out. :)
