I was looking at a page of Universal Studios Japan a few weeks ago and it said there was going to be a Krustyland section of the park featuring the Simpsons Ride, which is my favorite ride at Universal Studios Florida. In case you've forgotten, my favorite rides at Islands of Adventure are the Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man and the Incredible Hulk Coaster. On May 15, 2008, the Simpsons Ride opened in Universal Studios Florida and on May 19, 2008 the ride in Universal Studios Hollywood opened, both replacing the Back to the Future rides. The Back to the Future ride in Florida closed half of it in September 2006, and it completely closed in March 30, 2007. The Back to the Future ride in Hollywood closed half of it on January 7, 2007 and it completely closed in September 3, 2007. The ride in Japan is still open. Right now, I have my eye on that ride. The Simpsons Ride will appear in the upcoming Universal Studios Singapore along with the Back to the Future ride. If you have any news about the Back to the Future ride in Japan or the Simpsons Ride appearing in Japan, please post it either on GMail or on my blog.

It seems reasonable that they would only have one motion simulator ride, but it would be a real shame to lose the Back to the Future ride. Hopefully, they will both stay open at least in Signapore. I really don't understand the economics of the Universal theme parks, but once everyone has visited an attraction often they won't return. That isn't the case with BttF however. That was a cool experience you could do over again.
